Instead of allowing condo prices to moderate, the federal Liberals and provincial NDP used taxpayer money to bail out their wealthy developer friends, keeping housing unaffordable and out of reach for the average Canadian. There are still so many unanswered questions about this sudden and unexpected policy announcement: Where did it come from? Who petitioned the government for it? Who stands to benefit? Big congrats to the Dundon family, whose members now appear on the Stanley Cup more often than the Hulls, Staals, and Hextalls, as well as (due to band removal) the Richards and Howes. Still one shy of the Sutters, though. Something to shoot for next year I guess.
