I find this most useful when I get the ball out wide and have to carry it inward because there's space inside. Using that stiff arm gives you time and space to make the right decisions, cheatcode
I keep noting this in football and consistently failed to apply it while playing personally, until this passing weekend— and I really did feel an improvement in my dribbling success/ability to keep the ball. A truly invaluable tool man.

Off-arm usage is so important for these mavericks, you can consistently buy yourself another second or two to change the picture
Just bc you're playing footy doesn't mean you can't use your arms.

Diomande shows such nice variety in his associative play. Does things out wide but is also showing promise in central areas.
Not quite the shooter yet but he gives me Dembele vibes (hear me out).
I think Diomande is nothing like Vini when he joined
Vini had that Brazilian streak where his plays were more dramatic, unpredictable, more ambitious
Diomande has a very nice balance. He's a different kind of player but yes with the same bubbling raw enthusiasm of youth

People won't like to hear this but we're losing a goal threat that also happens to defend for 90 minutes. Phillip Walter Foden will need to put his shooting boots back on.
City feared Semenyo had suffered an ACL injury against Ipswich.
Fortunately that's not the case but he will be out for the next 6-8 weeks.

League winners and all but Arsenal's lack of attacking impetus makes for such a BAD watch, barely any dynamism at all, it's gotten even worse this season imo

Thank God they’re going for this guy man it’s the biggest indicator they’re not going to be serious post Pep. They went from smart system signings to flashy one season/tournament wonders in Anderson and Bouaddi. They’re never going to be elite again pheeewww.
🚨 Man City pushing hard for Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille. High among 18yo’s suitors (#PSG not in contention) & while others favour season on loan at #LOSC, #MCFC would integrate now. Price ~€100m + Morocco int’l expected to make decision soon @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7442340…

I've seen that comp like 4 times now. Amazing quality but he's probably my favourite non-City player alongside Lamine Yamal

My favourite thing about this comp is that we basically saw him receive under pressure and create something from almost every area of the pitch— left flank, right flank, in his own half, zone 14. Insane footballer, most obvious success

Bouaddi bro, ball-winning all game, audacious touches to not only keep the ball in tight spaces but to also carry it up the pitch and win a foul in the dying minutes, 19 YEARS OLD MAN
