He right too. The only thing I would add is we always put the responsibility to promote on the battler. I think thatās fine and battlers should 100% promote themselves more. But leagues canāt rely on battlers to sell they fight. They gotta take more ownership of their business and do more to promote their own business outside of sharing flyers and yelling at the talent for not carrying the heavy lifting.
How many leagues are going to colleges or places on their community and selling the fight themselves? Or getting people outside battle rap spaces to know if itās existence?
So much of battle rap promotion gets trapped within the realm of battle rap which is niche enough as is. Battlers, leagues, and the sport itself needs to all do better with promotion.
