New Partnership: UNDP x DFINITY Foundation
The UN Development Programme works in more than 170 countries. It has helped design digital public infrastructure in more than 25 of them.
DFINITY and the UNDP have signed an agreement to bring sovereign cloud and agentic AI to public services.
Over the next 12 months, DFINITY will pilot the technology in UNDP Country Offices, civil society organizations, and co-design pilots with governments.
All on Cloud Engines, with the OpenSaaS software suite built in, and the freedom to build custom apps with any AI tool, from Caffeine to Claude Code, Codex, and Perplexity.

The standard computer-nerd journey through Linux starts with a conventional desktop, moves through increasingly exotic distros, and eventually arrives at tiling window managers. By then, you’re convinced that keyboard-driven interfaces should be far more popular than they are.
Then you remember how clunky they still are after decades of development.
It takes a really bright person and, apparently, a small fortune in Fable 5 credits to chase down every remaining bit of friction. Maybe this time it can actually make a dent in the industry.

I've been playing with it. It is amazing. Now every app I build will be built with ai agents in mind so that any agent can easily use all their features through the mcp connector. Some maybe without a frontend at all.
