Very excited I can contribute to shaping this new SUMMIT EVOLF consortium in NL including our lab @_amolf: where will we take building a synthetic cell in coming 10 years? It is going to be an inspiring and unpredictable journey!
I’m thrilled to be able to announce that we were granted a NWO Summit grant entitled ‘Evolving Life from Nonlife’ (EVOLF) with 40 million euro for a 10-year project aimed to cross the gap between non-life and life by assembling a living synthetic cell from lifeless biomolecules!

Vanavond op NPO2 met oa @BasOvervelde in ons zachte robotica lab. AMOLF werkt samen met o.a. @ErasmusMC en @TUeindhoven aan een hybride hart. Mooi tv-programma dat niet alleen laat zien wat we doen maar ook waarom.
