C/O 2028 There is an easy, natural feel to the way this defensive back moves, and his length gives him a lot of range to work with. He works from a controlled backpedal, does not chase routes unnecessarily, and keeps his eyes connected to the quarterback rather than getting manipulated by receiver movement. At :46, he shows loose hips and clean transition ability on the boundary, locating the football on the go route and nearly finishing the rep with a one-handed interception. He can play single-high, cover the middle third, and has the range to work sideline to sideline without giving up the top of the defense. His length and closing speed make throwing windows difficult, while his movement skills allow him to stay balanced and under control. He is also dependable in space, showing sure tackling ability and good recognition against screens, where he can defeat the block and close on the ball carrier. There is real value in a defensive back who can stay on top of routes, cover ground from depth, finish in space, and give you flexibility across the secondary.
