🪦Graveyard Keeper 2 First Impressions [gifted]
Graveyard Keeper is back with a sequel, Graveyard Keeper 2 and it's a welcomed surprise. Voice acting is good, writing is hilarious, and its intro's structure is much more well done than its first. It still relies on you knowing what to do though, without "spoon feeding you" information. BUT, it's still a lot more helpful than the OG's opening.
The grind is still there with a complex skill tree so I would still categorize it as a intermediate to advanced farming game. I love these types of games where I spend hours and hours collecting resources, crafting, working my way through a skill tree, so this is a gameplay loop I love to see.
However, performance on the Switch 2 takes a hit with plenty of frame rate drops especially when picking up resources or when the fog is around, also an odd choice of completely removing shadows in the Switch 2 version.
I am eager to try the "combat" next and see what other gameplay loops I can unlock next.

Felt. Played hundreds of games and I adore many, but nothing will ever top Witcher 3 for me.
The Witcher 3 is my favourite game of all time and I don’t think that will ever change if I’m honest.
No other game has left such a lasting impression on me. Mass Effect and DA Origins is close, but Witcher is still top for me ❤️

💀Level 5 is speed running its downfall which is sad to see. The recent showcase had the CEO fully presented as a gen-AI avatar, Holy Horror Mansion & Yokai Watch 2 also seem to be fully gen-AI. The CEO issued a public apology stating they are only using gen-AI for "the digitization of creative work" and to be more "efficient" since the current development time of major titles is 5 years and they want to drop it to 2 years. But it's clear they are using it way more than what they are disclosing. As far as I can tell, FLi remains free of gen-AI, but at this point, who knows for sure?
