On Oct. 9, I’ll speak at the Peking University Singapore Alumni gathering on a question I’ve been thinking about for more than two decades:
What comes after today’s Internet?
In 2003, I coined the term Web3.0.
In 2021, I proposed the Grand Unified Theory of Web3.0:
Web3.0 = Data3.0 + Finance3.0
Today, AI Agent is bringing a new dimension to this evolution—and may fundamentally reshape the architecture of the Internet again.
My talk:
AI-Native Web3.0 Architecture:
#Holon and the Evolution toward Agent 3.0
As AI Agents evolve from assistants into autonomous actors, a fundamental question emerges:
Who owns the digital self behind the Agent?
I believe every human should have a Holon — a sovereign AI-native digital self that allows the individual to own and govern their identity, data, memory, Personal Ontology, intelligence, intent and digital assets.
Models can change.
Agents can change.
Devices and clouds can change.
But your digital self remains yours.
This is the evolution from AI Agent → Agent 3.0 →
#Holon, and toward an AI-Native Web3.0 centered on human sovereignty.
More than two decades after I first envisioned Web3.0, I’m excited to explore its next chapter with fellow PKU alumni and builders in Singapore. 🇸🇬
