Think of zScore as a portable reputation for a wallet, scored from 0–1000. Zaps serve a different purpose. They’re less about who you are and more about whether your wallet qualifies for allocation in a specific market. That distinction matters. Your reputation and your access to incentives aren’t supposed to be the same number. The underlying score is also designed around an attested, Merkle committed set of data rather than simply keeping everything in a private database. That makes the system more transparent, while making manipulation harder because you’d have to compromise the attestation layer itself. And Zaps aren’t really a traditional quest system either. Past onchain activity can influence how much you receive before a campaign even starts, while unused allocation can be burned. The bigger idea is where this could go with agents. Machines don’t have identities or passports in the usual sense. What they leave behind is behavior. If that model works at scale, portable behavioral reputation could become useful far beyond an airdrop. If it doesn’t, Zaps are still an elaborate way of filtering incentives. Either way, Zeru is betting on something interesting: your onchain history becoming a credential for future markets.
