Putting a stablecoin here stacks 2 promises, the issuer has to honour the dollar and the pool has to give the deposit back.

USDG carries Global Dollar's own reward share on top of Aave's supply rate, so part of that curve reflects issuer subsidy rather than borrower demand. Worth checking utilization on the USDG pool itself to see how much yield comes from actual borrowers versus the rewards program.
