I agree. Sorry for long response but I’m like emphasizing how much I agree😂 Don’t feel like you need to read it lol: I don’t think there’s even time to stray off of Elriel in the next three movements given all of the plot stuff that has to happen that requires Azriel and Elain to be in the same place and Lucien and Gwyn to be elsewhere (+ plot stuff with other POVs taking up multiple pages). There’s also a whole war that has to happen in movement 4. There’s rly not time to take a 15 step plot to have Azriel and Elain suddenly realize hey we don’t actually have feelings, have a closing conversation, have Azriel have a closing conversation with Mor (which has to happen for his own personal growth imo), have Azriel who is obsessed with Elain fall out of love with her and stop thinking about her, have them both heal from their years of romantic affection towards one another, have Azriel reunite somewhere with Gwyn and Elain with Lucien, get them to actually want to spend time with each other (especially given Chap 20 and the fact that Gwyn and Azriel are indifferent to each other with 0 romantic feelings), have them actually begin to seek each other out, have them fall for each other, and have them be in love. It would take WAY too much time in three movements that have so many POVs and plots and wars to cover to do that imo. However, Elriel is already set up to be in the same place, and to have their personal and romantic healing arcs together. Even better if Azriel waits a little to go to Vallahan and they both have some of the personal healing arcs seperately, realize they still love each other/want each other, and then he joins her in Vallahan where they build a stronger, healthier relationship and fall further in love. I think all roads point to Elriel endgame just considering the plot stuff (although the merch/interviews/buildup in canon texts certainly helps lol.) Also Vassien is set to be in the same place and Feyre noticed how protective he was over her/him blushing over her, so I think Vassa and Lucien is likely to happen from forced proximity and the fact that she is one of the only people he has in his life who truly cares for him through and through and he does vice versa. I think this could end beautifully with Lucien healing from his Jesminda trauma and loneliness by realizing his own found family has been there all along and finding his home in the world with them (and with Vassa and being truly chosen again) after being tugged so many directions all his life. Anyways, the point is, I’m an Elriel and Vassien girl for life and I truly believe those are the endgame ships :)
