When Dangote Group started its Refinery project, some Nigerians opposed it and cabals rose against it. The same industrial experience is now the economic game changer, spreading to other African countries. How some Nigerians oppose sustainable projects for parochial interests!

Peter Obi effortlessly lies because he knows his supporters who aren't different from him would always believe. But, not all Nigerians are easily swayed with fables, lies and emotions rather than logic, facts and reasoning. Prof. Soludo, please keep unveiling Obi's archive of lies.

President Bola Tinubu, courageous with foresight removed the subsidy monster leaders before him were scared to tame, in order to be in the 'good book' of Nigerians. Libya is now under grave economic pressure, about to remove oil subsidy. Subsidy kills growth, say NO to subsidy!

Sir, you've been privileged holding strategic public offices in Nigeria at a young age. Can you tell Nigerians what this has achieved in the leadership and direction you are talking about here or are you just interested in a sectional agenda?
I have said this before, and I believe it is important to remind Nigerians of my position as we approach 2027. Peter Obi has my support for the presidency. But my position is clear, I am not supporting the idea of Peter Obi becoming somebody elseโ€™s Vice President. The day Peter Obi accepts a Vice Presidential position, I will walk away from his corner. I have said this plainly, and I stand by it. My concern is not about personalities. It is about the kind of leadership Nigeria needs and the direction in which we want our country to go. I have also argued that we should begin to rethink the age of those seeking executive office. The Nigerian presidency should not become a retirement home for politicians. I believe there should be a serious national conversation about limiting presidential and gubernatorial candidates to those aged 70 or below. Nigeria needs leadership that is focused on the future, not simply another cycle of political succession. These are principles I have stated publicly, and Nigerians should judge them for themselves.

A book launch by Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Ikeja-Lagos, should have been in Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Imo or Ebonyi States, to celebrate the Igbos and further tell the 'history' of Igbos in their land. Imagine Afenifere launching Yoruba biography in Igbo land!

IT'S WRONG TO THINK PETER OBI WON THE 2023 ELECTIONS โ€” KWANKWASO Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Peter Obiโ€™s running mate in the 2027 race, has dismissed the debate over whether Obi won the 2023 presidential election. Speaking during an interview, Kwankwaso was asked if he believed Peter Obi won the 2023 presidential election. He responded, โ€œNo, I think that is gone. I think we should look at the future because, that debate will not help anybody.โ€ According to him, Nigerians should focus on the next election rather than continue debating the outcome of the 2023 presidential poll. โ€œNow we have president, uh, in the seat. Now what is important is 2027 election,โ€ he said. Kwankwaso, who is now set to run alongside Obi in the 2027 presidential election, also expressed confidence that his party could emerge victorious. โ€œI personally believe that, uh, by the grace of God, NDC will win the election in 2027,โ€ he stated. ***Things are fast falling apart between Kwankwaso and Obi, and the centre (NDC) can no longer hold! Public Universities Must Start Charging At Least โ‚ฆ1 million Tuition Per Student โ€” Former LASU VC, Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, immediate past Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), has said public universities across Nigeria may need to charge at least โ‚ฆ1 million in tuition per student to achieve financial self-sustainability. Olatunji-Bello made the remarks in a recent interview while reflecting on her five-year tenure, which ended on Saturday. She said LASU currently spends over โ‚ฆ1 billion monthly on its payroll, while its โ‚ฆ13 billion internally generated revenue (IGR) is insufficient to cover salaries. โ€œUniversities can achieve financial self-sustainability. If they can innovate and ensure improvements in the institution, money will come in,โ€ she said. โ€œBut then, if the money comes in, how do you spend it? Right now, LASU does not have financial self-sustainability. We may have increased our dedicated revenue, but we cannot survive. Our payroll right now is over N1bn per month. All the N13bn IGR does not cover our salaries.โ€ She added, โ€œSo, universities that want to attain self-sustainability will have to increase school fees into millions.โ€ According to her, while some secondary schools charge over โ‚ฆ1 million per term, some public universities still charge around โ‚ฆ100,000 yearly, which she said is unsustainable. โ€œSo, any public university that wants to sustain financial independence will have to charge school fees of not less than N1 million per student,โ€ she said. Olatunji-Bello also stated that โ€œgood quality education needs moneyโ€ and urged parents to prioritise their childrenโ€™s education. Her comments came shortly after Education Minister Tunji Alausa urged public universities to diversify their funding, saying government resources alone cannot sustain tertiary institutions.

This was in 1986, when Alhaji Aliko Dangote (29) was strategically aligning and positioning himself, wishing General Ibrahim Babangida, then President of Nigeria, a Happy New Year. Great success has a history that people only notice after the results become visible.
