🧱 I’m starting to build a new team at XBOX focused on products and tools for how games get built and distributed as agentic tools become more capable. This isn’t a design team or an engineering team. It’s a team of people who build products. I’m looking for people who want to push what’s possible across 3D, rich interfaces, platforms, CLIs and creator tools. People who care about simplicity, reducing complexity and making powerful tools feel easy to use. People who can shape a vision, prototype, make decisions and turn ideas into something real. If that sounds like you, I’d love to talk.

What do you guys use to log into things on your Mac when the laptop is closed and you can’t tap the Touch ID key? What should I buy

Funny enough, I’ve been enjoying building with these tools a lot more since stepping away from being so close to the rat race around harnesses and coding agents. Less reactionary work. More purpose, curiosity, and fun ✨
I’ve reached a point where I’m like not excited about new models. There are too many releases, too many people overhype those releases, and it feels like marginal gains. I feel like the models from the last few months are good enough for my coding needs at least.

That doesn't seem quite right… there aren't nearly that many trash spots downtown 😂
I had Opus 5.5 recreate the city of San Francisco in Unreal Engine. I powered everything in it (people, pets, cars, traffic, literally everything) with Jev.

Some great thoughts from @thorstenball on thorstenball.com/blog/2026/0…. The two I'd "push back" on are CLI and generated UI. It feels like CLIs & APIs may matter even more when agents become the users. And if anyone can generate anything, product judgment becomes more important, not less: what to build, what to default, and what to leave out. Exciting times :)

💭 I'm having a hard time reconciling the idea that OSS codebases & registries don't have a place in this new world. On the other hand, they helped everyone and models learn how to code. What's the new version of that? Not to mention the community and culture around the shared knowledge. Something feels missing :/

builders ftw
Replying to @david_rosenberg
My best teams are full of generalists who spike in complementary ways. I want a PM who can design, a designer who can code, a developer on the no fly list, and a QA with missing fingers

People dunking on WoW’s visuals miss how much of its success came from art direction, and world building, not raw graphics. It’s the same reason Diablo II still looks so damn good and immersive after all these years.

🥳 Excited to start revealing what we've been working on in the last few months. First, we decided to reinvent Kubernetes for agentic workloads with statefulness and fast resumption. Secondly, we are building an agentic orchestrator that will be Google's open agentic orchestrator and runtime. github.com/google/ax

💭 I sometimes wonder if only being able to get online after 4 PM was actually a good thing. I’d spend the day going deep on a problem with no distractions, taking notes for everything I wanted to look up on Google later. There was something useful about not having every answer one tab away.

Impressive how software is evolving
10 days ago I launched GameToMac. It started because I wanted to play Age of Empires IV on my Mac and couldn’t get it running properly. So I started fixing it myself. Since then: thousands of users, 10+ games added, and a huge amount of demand for more. AoE IV, CS2, Diablo IV, PoE 2, CoH3 and others are now running smoothly on Apple Silicon. There are thousands more Windows games that will soon become playable on Mac. AI is making it possible to debug compatibility issues and ship support much faster than before. Mac gaming is finally becoming real. Just getting started 🚀

Had some fun taking Jev from @typesafeai for a spin, switching seamlessly between manual and AI-driven gameplay. It’s clocking 2–3 calls/sec at 60 FPS, with ~150ms avg latency. The most interesting part wasn’t the speed, though. It was distilling the game into the variables, actions, and decision criteria the AI needs to play well: Does it risk going for the powerup, or protect the ball? When is the reward worth the risk? Fun times ahead!
