Will she be addressed Queen Rebecca Rukidi Nyabongo I Amoding? This is a positive development and should be encouraged. Tooro Kingdom inheritance is patrilineal, so why exclude Queen Rebecca’s children?
Tooro: New king’s children with Amoding out of succession debate
Babiito Clan spokesman Rev. Fr. Dr Charles Oyo said that Rebecca Amoding, the wife of Tooro’s king-elect Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I, will retain her official status as queen despite being from outside the kingdom.
However, her children are automatically out of any future succession debate because an heir must be born to a mother belonging to one of the recognised clans of Tooro.

How is power changing?
At #UNGA, I’ve asked world leaders:
Will we act to ensure that power is governed by law or by force?
By cooperation or coercion?
By responsibility to young people & future generations or indifference to their fate?
Because the defining challenges of our age are expressions of power.
And they will determine whether the world drifts deeper into division & instability or moves toward cooperation, justice & collective security.

Sub-Saharan Africa got itself "Black Colonialists" dressed as liberators after European colonialism ended. Democratic-Klepto-Authoritarism is on the rise, increasing repression of dissent, growing poverty and inequality, and humanitarian crises in some. We need an Africa where people live with pride and dignity.
Africa’s future must be shaped by Africans, for Africans.
