Nice Ben! š The argument Iām forced to go back to so often:
āWhy do so many live a life of it could be worse⦠When it could be better.ā
This attitude is why modernity is as it is. Where the big new dream for middle class youth, is the possibility of owning a tiny home in someone elseās back yard.
Literally feudalism with extra steps š is our trajectoryā¦
It always simultaneously amazes and disgusts me when people jump to defend our system of debt slavery and getting metaphorically raped via taxation & inflation.
ā Stop complaining it could be worse, at least we arenāt the third worldā
āYou just gotta pull yourself up your bootstrapsā
āYou should be gratefulā
We are getting a shit deal, we are expected to slave away the most functional and happy years of our lives, for scraps.
Then hopefully by the time you are 70, you can stop and enjoy whatever little time you have left?
Meanwhile the people running the show are robbing us blind, and all getting rich as hell doing it.
Are there worse systems and circumstances? Sure, I will admit it could be worse.
However, that doesnāt mean that it also couldnāt be better.
Being a good slave who doesnāt complain and just shuts up and does as they are told, being grateful for scraps - doesnāt make you strong or tough guy, it makes you a compliant and malleable tool.
