Getting close now, about 20 hours in. The most difficult portrait I have yet to render. I've lost count of how many times I completely resculpted his mouth and chin area, which are now almost there, but still need work. The skin will be smoothed out taking off the hard edges.

The Quad gun is an interesting story. @vfxsup64 started using photogrammetry and 3D tracking methods we developed at MastersFX in 2013 - measuring hundreds of model kit pieces and historic photos to verify - and built the core of the Falcon. He then eventually rebuilt the missing quad gun turret from that research digitally. It was later modeled by Jason Eaton, and installed on the actual Millenium Falcon! I told Andre at the time this was #VFXarchaeology. The name stuck.
