Last month, we came back to celebrate the start of a new school year over lunch and surprised the community with a $130,000 commitment: $30,000 this year, plus another $100,000 over the next three years.

Last month, we announced a $130,000 donation over four years to Global Village Project (GVP), a school in the Atlanta area, to fund a new tech center and whatever the school needs to raise the next generation of responsible thinkers, doers, and leaders.

In partnership with the @AtlantaDream, we hosted a back-to-school event to celebrate the milestone. We kicked it off with basketball drills, coupled with a shopping activity where students budgeted with play money (Al-bucks) for school supplies.

📚 Back-to-school costs are chunky: families spend ~$922 per household, and teachers shell out ~$900 of their own money every year. Albert is All Over It, literally.

New beginnings look different for every student. This back-to-school season, Albert partnered with the Atlanta Dream to commit $130,000 over four years to Global Village Project, the nation's only middle school dedicated to educating recently arrived refugee girls.
Together, we hosted a Back-to-School Day full of basketball, school supplies, and celebration — because every journey starts somewhere different, and every student deserves a confident first day.
