Sorry not sorry but I vehemently think that Western vegans can never assume the higher moral ground for not consuming animals, when most vegan products rely on palm oil and palm oil plantations contribute to massive deforestation and fires that kill so many wildlife in Indonesia.

Honestly the discourse from the last 3 days about vegan pet diets just proves to me that some people are vegan not because they care about animals but because they have a messiah complex
Vegans don't have 'pets', they house refugees from the 'pet' industry.
Cats and dogs can be fed nutritionally complete diets made from plants.

Cats are obligate carnivores. They cannot eat or digest a vegan/plant based diet. Doing so is abuse.

The whole ethical reason behind going vegan has to do with *human* consumption of meat. Animals don't need to change their habits. They are animals.
It's kinda crazy to see people who consume tortured, slaughtered animals on a daily basis up in arms about someone simply asking for advice on feeding cats a plant based diet lol

and another thing: i think you are an infinitely worse person if you have the heart to abuse an animal by your own hand (feeding your cat a vegan diet) than if you buy meat at the store. because that is YOUR direct and personal choice. nobody is abusing your cat for you.
my biggest hot take on veganism and the debates around it is that its okay to eat animals actually. and we should stop shaming people who do. the industry is the problem but that doesnt make it immoral to eat meat. and you need to stop abusing your pets #fuckyou
