Yep. He's clearly still finding his feel for his pitches, but Patrick Sandoval has allowed 2 earned runs or fewer in seven of his 11 starts, and threw six innings last night so other guys didn't have to. He won't be on the postseason roster. If you think he needs to be DFA'd -- with 16 games left to go -- you are either dumb, bored, or spoiled. Or all three.

I鈥檓 not saying he鈥檚 good. He鈥檚 been very meh. But the way people react to Patrick Sandoval, the team鈥檚 5th or 6th starter, is crazy. Who do you think would be a better option? Did you see what happened when we called up that kid from AAA who clearly wasn鈥檛 ready?

4 ER in 6 innings is not that bad for a #5 starter. You had Walker buehler last year giving up 5 in 4IP every start last year. In 2024 bello gave up 6 every 5IP. 4 ER with the bullpen you have should keep you in a game. Red sox offense just couldn't beat Detmers
