Don't feel ashamed when all you can do is pray.
Some days you just can't fix the problem.
You cannot change the person.
You cannot undo what already happened.
That is not failure.
That is honesty.
Pride says, "I can handle this." Humility says, "I can't, but God can."
When Jehoshaphat faced an army he could not beat, he told God, "We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you" (2 Chronicles 20:12).
Prayer is not the last-resort option.
It is handing the thing you cannot carry to the One who can.
So pray the plain prayer.
Tell God what hurts.
Tell Him what you fear.
Then leave it with Him.
You do not have to sound polished.
You do not have to have a plan.
Jesus said we should always pray and not lose heart (Luke 18:1).
The friend who sits with you and prays may do more than the friend who only offers advice.
God is not limited by what you can see or control.
Keep bringing it to Him.
Trusting Him with what you cannot change is not giving up.
It is faith.
