A Polish developer has created an iPhone app called Zuckoff that can detect nearby pervert Meta smart glasses using their Bluetooth signals.
The app has already attracted around 5,000 users since launching on Apple's App Store.
Zuckoff works by detecting the Bluetooth signal from compatible Meta glasses. It can tell you when a pair of glasses is nearby, and roughly how far away they are.
There is an important limitation, though, the app cannot tell whether the person is actually recording. It only tells you that camera-equipped glasses are nearby.
Meta's glasses have a small light that is supposed to show when the camera is recording, Zuckoff is basically another way for people to be aware that camera-equipped smart glasses are nearby.
