the prequels vs sequels debate sounds so insane to me, like i enjoy the prequels for what they are, but the idea that any metric can find the prequels to be "peak star wars" while the sequels "ruined star wars" is absolutely ludicrous

growing up, i was told i couldn't like star wars because it was "for boys". i've been told i'm a "fake fan" by other fans who didn't agree with how i engaged with it. now im being told i'm meant to "outgrow" it. this is just another form of gatekeeping and it isn't any less toxic
No disrespect to anyone, but I don’t really get how people don’t just grow out of this stuff. When I was 8-15 my life REVOLVED around Marvel, Star Wars & Harry Potter. But I grew up. At some point, you just grow out of this stuff
