This from a MCC consultation, that has just been launched, is essentially admitting that GAS is a shitshow for cyclists and something needs to be done about it. If only they had been alerted that they were fucking it up. If only.

A lot of attention on this after the decision not to put cycling lanes on Great Ancoats Street. Already criticism of putting new route through Marina. Some suggestions it will be nice for tourists and casual cyclists but doesn’t really help commuters.

What a shit show Part II (on the part of our tone deaf, profligate, inept, out of touch, incompetent, corrupted and totally unfit for purpose council) Spending £37m on dodgy property deals and God knows how much on Tory barristers whilst pleading poverty.

City leaders needs to bite bullet & acknowledge if plan to grow population as proposed (see image, city centre transport strategy) then Inner Ring Relief Road has to be moved out from G Ancoats St. Look how it carves through those new high people zones.
