It’s great to see the restoration taking shape thanks to Moseley Road Baths CIC. Excited to see it finished & of course get back in the pool!
Grand Designs presenter Kevin McCloud has visited a historic Birmingham swimming pool dating back to 1907, while it undergoes extensive repairs.
Restoration work on the Grade II*-listed Moseley Road Baths has been under way since 2023.

The Chancellor is right to focus on growth
But the opportunity and the need are just as great in the Midlands as it is in the North. We should have seen the same ambition here too.
The Midlands cannot be an afterthought. We have to stand up for our fair share.
Today’s economic news underlines the scale of the challenge facing the Chancellor.
The British Chambers of Commerce is calling for the triple lock to be scrapped, with savings redirected towards tackling youth worklessness. At the same time, Jaguar Land Rover is preparing for potentially thousands of job losses.
Against that backdrop, the test of today’s speech is whether the Government is prepared to take the difficult decisions needed to deliver sustained growth.

Today, the government accepted that case.
Fiscal devolution gives mayors the stability to plan long term and brings accountability and maturity to the mayoral model.
It must add no extra burden to the taxpayer, replacing the money mayors currently receive from the Treasury.
It is one lever for growth, and a welcome one. The bigger test is whether this is the start of a serious economic reset.
