You obviously have no idea how a terminal diagnosis works.
Being alive four years after a metastatic cancer diagnosis does not mean I was never terminally ill, nor does it mean my prognosis has somehow expired.
The median life span for my disease is 3-5 years.
I’m very glad I’m still here too. But you don’t get to use my survival as an argument against the right of other terminally ill people to have choice at the end of their lives. None of us know when our treatments will stop working, and that’s why the Bill was for the end of life. But we live with the knowledge that there is no cure, and that our deaths can sometimes be brutal. That’s why it’s about choice. We’re not suicidal, we just want the choice not to suffer as we die.
