I loved giving my 9 Pilots talk to the @AeroSociety branch in Bournemouth yesterday evening. Hearing my father, uncle and grandfather speak and seeing others on film brings this previous generation to life. Nice comments from the audience afterwards.

Thank you to my US army dinner friends on @RMSQueenMary2 who have put my @penswordbooks book on the 9 close @RoyalAirForce pilots in my family on prominent display in the Fort Knox Library. That should make it fairly impregnable! 🤣

Having my right thumb inoperative, makes me realise how reliant humans are on this opposable digit. Simple things like doing up/undoing buttons, using cutlery, brushing teeth etc become more complicated. Still, if that's the worst problem in my life, I'll be very happy.

Must say my medical treatment at @NewVicHospital yesterday by consultant Fiona Middleton and her team was superb. Ganglion cut out and never knew a thing before or after, and no general anaesthetic. What's more, no pain since, so don't need any medication. Highly recommend.

They did the same for our daughter when her partner hit head-on a car escaping police on the wrong side of the M1. She travelled up to Leeds on a different booked train and upgraded by @LNER to be by his side. No charge. Now they're married with a beautiful daughter. Thanks LNER
Shout out to Kings Cross ticket office! Younger daughter, learning difficulties, Disabled Person's railcard travelling from Havant to Durham today, confused on the Underground,missed her booked train. Clerk rebooked her on next train, no charge.@LNER

Fabulous 2 performances from the Dublin Concert Orchestra in the national concert hall. They were superb and received 3 standing ovations at each performance.

I sold a great number of my books and signed over 100 choir copies. Spoke to so many people who thought @TheNatSymphOrch the best thing they'd ever seen at sea. I would of course agree with them!

Back from a sensational week's crossing of the Atlantic on board @cunardline @RMSQueenMary2 with @TheNatSymphOrch. So many compliments from guests and 5 full house standing ovations. Pretty certain Beethoven 5 and Wagner Liebestod are not often played at sea. Everyone stood.

Souvenirs from our wonderful trip on @cunardline's @RMSQueenMary2, singing at the "English Night" concert with @anthonyinglis and @TheNatSymphOrch. A huge thrill to be part of the guest choir on board.
We've had a fantastic week crossing the Atlantic to New York.
