Lowers the entry barrier to consuming the sport by dramatizing events and introducing the key characters and rules. Sporting bodies win by acquiring a ton of new customers. Production costs for Netflix are likely comparatively lower than creating completely original content.

Goes to show that there are plenty of opportunities for business model innovation once you capture a critical mass of eyeballs.
Maybe @ICC should be next to set up a deal with Netflix. To grow the game in markets like the US... Or to showcase the spectacle of test cricket?

So much so that both countries were accused of dumping, and trade wars ensued-w/ Japan in 1987 and China in 2018. Like China today, by the late 70's, Japan was "the world’s 2nd largest economy and challenging American industrial dominance in areas that were crucial to U.S. power"

An independent election commission of some sort would set a strict spending limit on all candidates and the regulations would be enforced through external audits. This was what one of the economists on the podcast was suggesting to make government more effective.

It will likely be harder to setup since there's a lot more at stake in an election than in @F1.
But the similarities between the two problems and the proposed solutions despite the massive difference in context is crazy.
