🚨BREAKING: UNITED PILOT WHO DEFENDED OCT. 7 STILL FLYING A United Airlines pilot who described the October 7 attack as “resistance by a brave people” and said it was “not unprovoked” is still flying passengers for the airline. Ibrahim R. Mossallam was temporarily removed from flying duties after the post sparked outrage, but later returned to the cockpit. Since then, he has continued posting strongly anti-Israel statements. Mossallam also serves as Vice President of the Board of CAIR-New York. I asked United a simple question: Why is he still flying passengers? As of now, United has not provided an official response. Watch the full report below. @united

Akie Abe, widow of former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, inaugurated the Abe Memorial Corridor with UP CM Yogi Adityanath at Varanasi's Rudraksh Centre. She grew emotional recalling Shinzo Abe's 2015 visit, saying he revered Ganga & she had long wished to visit the sacred city of Kashi.

Two women from Kerala went to Israel to care for an elderly couple. Then October 7 ... Hamas entered Kibbutz Nir Oz. Gunmen tried to force their way into the safe room. Sabitha Baby and Meera Mohanan had no weapons, no military training and, one assumes, no particular desire to become heroines before lunch. So they held the door. For hours. That is the whole story, really, and it is magnificent. Fifteen years earlier, in Mumbai, Sandra Samuel ran into the horror of Nariman House and carried two-year-old Moshe Holtzberg to safety after his parents were murdered. India keeps appearing in these stories at the exact moment humanity is being tested. Mumbai, 2008. Nir Oz, 2023. Same instinct. Protect the innocent. People like to describe India and Israel as strategic partners. Fine. Very diplomatic. Very respectable. But treaties do not hold doors shut - love and respect however can change the world!

What is actually extraordinary is how the British nearly wiped out lions in India. British viceroys, colonial officers, and visiting nobles turned lion hunting into a sport. A rite of passage. A photo opportunity. They organized grand hunting expeditions. By 1884, a dozen lions remained in all of India, thanks to the Brits. Nawab of Junagadh banned all lion hunting in his territory without special permission. He declared that anyone caught poaching a lion would face jail time and fines. The British did not cooperate. The Nawab petitioned the colonial government to extend protections. They refused. British colonial officials saw lion hunting as their birthright. After independence, the Indian Forest Department took over in 1965, designated Gir as a National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, and built one of the most successful large predator conservation programs in the world. Today there are 891 Asiatic lions in India. From 12 to 891. So when The Economist expresses astonishment that a "poor country" can protect animals, perhaps they should ask who nearly exterminated them in the first place.
It is extraordinary that India, still a relatively poor country, can achieve something as selfless as protecting other creatures. We explain how it became remarkably good at animal conservation economist.com/asia/2026/10/0…
