I was early to both. I bought and sold SWORDCAT, and I bought KNIGHTCAT and still hold. I genuinely love the meme. I think it’s generational.
When KNIGHTCAT launched, I saw the CA in the IG bio, researched the creator, and found the connection to Higgsfield. Higgsfield ambassador confirmed the relationship, and the Knightcat name was already being used by Sickmainai.
I hate PVP but there’s one thing I hate more and that’s THEFT
My argument isn’t that creating the original content automatically gives someone legal ownership of every token using the meme.
It’s that if you create the character, artwork and content that a token is built around, you should benefit from the value your work creates.
SWORDCAT should have approached the original creator from the beginning if they wanted to build around that content. Instead, the content was taken directly from their page.
That’s what created this entire PVP situation.
Then Beeple, who hasn’t posted about a meme token in ages, posts the SWORDCAT ticker and gives it another massive momentum boost.
My opinion:
If KNIGHTCAT stays committed to delivering original content, I think it ultimately flips SWORDCAT
Not because of PVP, but because KNIGHTCAT has the original creator behind it
At this point, I don’t see the reason to attack KNIGHTCAT or the creator. Everyone who bought SWORDCAT before today has had the opportunity to take profit, and I actually like how things worked out for those holders.
If KNIGHTCAT keeps executing, I believe this ultimately ends with the original creators and KNIGHTCAT holders on top
