People are shocked that a guy who sold a book doesn’t care about said book anymore
One of the biggest scams in modern programming?

can we all still remember when we had to manually approve AI actions and they even invented gadgets for it and now it's just not relevant anymore

The sooner you accept your new reality as a developer, the sooner you can achieve great things. If you still haven’t accepted it, you’re running late

once again the bar has been increased and even if everyone can make those videos now, the people who standout will be the people that perfect those videos

I saw someone say that people find something slop the moment everyone is doing it / can make it, and good when it’s rare. Hasn’t been more true than today
OH MY GOD

recommend everyone to watch the full @dhh keynote. He's right about that we should all be optimistic about the future. There is just so much for us humans to build and we'll figure it out like we always do.

Jev is what AI should’ve been from the start
JEV is INSANE. We gave it 3 million replay events In 40 seconds, it watched 3,247 sessions, caught 132 rage clicks, 116 dead clicks and 95 JavaScript errors, and opened 213 draft PRs to fix them. All for just $2.17. JEV can also flag abandoned forms, rank every issue by severity, count how many sessions each bug hit and write the repro steps for your team. Coming soon to Flowsery + MCP. Comment "JEV" for early access.

The most simple explanation is usually the right one: they hit a wall in AI improvement and are using the AI will kill us all movement to slow down
So suddenly OpenAI, Anthropic, XAI, and their leaders all suddenly about face and agree to slow the pace of AI development all on the same weekend…. Delaying IPOs and having OpenAI say they would “melt their GPUs to save humanity it it came to it” Something bad happened… There is no world in which everyone, including Elon, suddenly started to be worried about this on the same weekend. There was also a rumor that this week Google cracked recursive AI, which I doubt would trigger this reaction. Clearly an agent went rogue in a dangerous and malicious way, and it was something severe enough to spook everyone.

The moment AI progress seems to be at its limits, they apparently have to stall development
I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we've had at OpenAI in recent weeks. Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same. We'll have more to share soon.

real talk
You don't need a bigger Iphone screen in your pocket. You don't need a screen on your wrist. You don't need access to your DMs, sleep score and Instagram at all times. You need to lock all this shit in a drawer forever and stop giving your self perma-psychosis you nutjob.
