Didn’t we try this once in 1974-5? It was a disaster. Nobody wants their kids trudging off to school on a freezing cold pitch black winter morning. Also, can someone find the annual number of steeple-related clock changing fatalities? That was a weird one for him to pick.

Not really viable without redrawing the timezones - although it's definitely possible to come up with something workable if that's on the table. I built a simulator to mess around with sunset and sunrise times once and it was interesting.
