UPDATE: Dika Ofoma’s ‘Tooth’ has won Final Cut: New African Shorts at Switzerland’s Kurzfilmtage Winterthur.
Selected under the theme “Most Anticipated African Shorts for 2027,” the film earns a place at Cannes’ Short Film Industry Programme next year.
Dika Ofoma adds another short film to his collection.
Produced by Nkali Films and Idunoba Ent., ‘Tooth’ is one of four African projects selected for Locarno and Winterthur’s inaugural Final Cut programme. One will earn a Cannes 2027 industry opportunity.

maybe the reason The Drama didn’t work for me is because i wasn’t drawn to the performances. those two have a very sibling natured chemistry. couldn’t be convinced they’re a couple and i think the writing doesn’t do enough to establish that before the big reveal.
