UPDATE: 🇵🇱 Polish authorities say the fire at a Starlink ground station in the Grójec district was deliberately set.
Previously, an electrical fault was also considered as a possible cause of the fire.
However, Deputy Interior Minister Czesław Mroczek now says surveillance footage provides evidence that the fire was arson.
NEW: 🇵🇱 A fire broke out at a Starlink ground station in Poland, in Wola Krobowska, Mazovia, with firefighters reportedly treating it as arson.
The fire damaged the station’s power supply infrastructure, while a power generator was also damaged. Police took over the scene, with Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) and Central Police Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP) also notified.
The station is operated by Exatel, Poland’s state-owned telecommunications company. The infrastructure at the site is used to transmit internet traffic across Poland and to Ukraine, and it also supports SpaceX systems providing connectivity through Starlink terminals.
Deputy Prime Minister and Digital Affairs Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said there are indications that this could be another element of hybrid warfare and a deliberate attempt to disrupt an important internet hub.
He stressed that it is too early to say who was responsible, but said the incident fits a broader pattern of sabotage threats against critical infrastructure.
The fire was extinguished and services are investigating the circumstances

🇩🇪 A drone was spotted near the northern runway of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) at around 8:00 p.m. prompting authorities to close the airport’s airspace at 8:20 p.m.
Flights were halted for at least 45 minutes, with several aircraft diverted to Dresden and Leipzig. The airspace was reopened at 9:05 p.m. although delays continued.
At least five flights were reportedly diverted, including Eurowings, Wizz Air, Freebird Airlines and Lufthansa services. One passenger told BILD that her Eurowings flight from Cologne had to abort its approach after the crew was informed that a drone had been spotted directly in their flight path.

According to Newsweek Poland, the CIA warned Poland about a possible threat to the banking system involving undersea cables.
The report says U.S. officials warned that Russia has very thoroughly mapped undersea cables used by international banking, including connections between Europe and America, cables in the Baltic Sea linking Scandinavia with Poland and the wider region, and routes between the UK and Europe.
The reported concern is a scenario in which key cables carrying financial data could be damaged. According to Newsweek, the Americans warned Poland that its banking system must be prepared for such a critical test, as serious disruption could affect interbank communication.

The 🇮🇷 container ship FLEXI 2 (IMO 9246322) transited the North Sea toward the Skagerrak, with its destination listed as the 🇷🇺 port of Bronka, near St. Petersburg.
While transiting the Dover Strait, FLEXI 2 made two unusual U-turns for unknown reasons.
It will soon transit the Danish Straits into the Baltic Sea.
