Somali pirates hijacked an oil tanker owned by an Iraqi businessman. Instead of paying the ransom, his Basra-based tribe (Al-Shaghanba) mobilized.
They coordinated an operation with overseas contacts, intercepted the ship, captured 7 pirates, and rescued the crew themselves.
