.NET Since 2013. Web dev since 2005. Crafting Linux desktop tools in .NET & Rust w/ Agents. Trying to stay in the loop. Building on github.com/devmobasa

C# >> all. Awesome for tools and scripts with C# runfile (bash-like). Works amazing on Linux/MacOS. Best major web framework by far. Great desktop frameworks. Great performance. Great for services. Tons of data on it so LLMs know are good at it, bunch of official docs.
.NET and F# are here waiting for you all Very fast inner loop compile times Strong type systems Great deployment models

C# FTW again github.com/devmobasa/ttfx Against Python up to 140x faster! Against Rust from 0.3.3 version that DHH referenced here up to 2.12x Since you don't like Rust, you can just port it to a much prettier language like C#, and no need to sacrifice performance. C# on Linux has been such a bliss. So good, and so fast. For bash-like scripts, tools, CLIs, services, apps.
I ported the Omarchy screensaver engine (ttfx) from Rust to x86-64 assembler, and it's up to 17x faster!! One-shot translation by Opus 5.5. We keep drilling until the agentic drill bit hits bedrock! github.com/omacom/ttfx/pull/…

Also mem/cpu performant. No issues even for a screensaver. At end of the day, Rust is probably better for a screensaver, but C# can surely compete.

C# FTW Everyone doing performance tests: please stop excluding C#. Thanks. After all, this is a top language in Age of Agents. Along with Rust. github.com/devmobasa/lemire-…
How quickly can you create small strings, per programming language? Python, C++, Rust, Go? Is Bun slower or faster than Node.js? Read my article to find out.

First part is far-fetched for sure. "Working on @ampcode" makes me wonder about the bias here :)
Most predictions I see are still way too conservative. Here's mine

Astra token usage is definitely a lot better now. For any kind of task.

I say this with a lot of love for my friends and peers at the model and neocloud companies: you probably shouldn’t take workflow and stack recommendations from people who have access to unlimited tokens. nothing malicious, but they’re not concerned about the economics of tokens just yet. so the exception/nuance is if your business/org has been constructed in such a way that tokens burnt translates into revenue (or reliability, or some menaningful advantage) in a real way. that’s a problem actually worth working on in your org.

Why buy a Stream Deck if I can build Omarchy menu or plugin? It's even faster and easier to customize and bind it all together. Besides the hardware joys.

It's crazy that among all the names, OpenAI employee, and MacOS user, @steipete also sent 1 million USD towards Omarchy / Omacom ! 🚀🤘 Danke Peter!

Omarchy plugins are great. However, atm there is so many plugins that overlap or do the same thing.

I tried switching to Linux 5-6 times over 15 years. Every attempt failed. This one stuck. 12 months, zero crashes. And no, it is not just Arch and Hyprland with some dotfiles.

25 years on Windows. 10 on macOS. Then Omarchy happened.

After 25 years of Windows on my desktop, and 10 of macOS on my laptop, I installed Omarchy in July 2025. Shortly before that I got hooked on Claude Code. And it was the perfect time to switch to

Windows switcher/previewer plugin for Omarchy Quattro I built a while ago, and just recently published to GitHub. Search for any app/window or workspace. Use keyboard to filter by workspace, minimized, change order (default is most recent used).

Are you lacking themes for your Omarchy Quattro experience? No worries, I have launched a site with 3088 wallpapers, each with 5 theme variants. You can apply this through the browser. You can click the edit button to open it in Aether to tweak it. Give it a go!
