Jackson Chourio’s walkoff single was just the 2nd time the Padres have given up a postseason walk-off hit in their history.
Interestingly enough, that was also in an NLDS Game 2 with another dominant closer on the mound, Trevor Hoffman - in 1998.
The Padres went on to the World Series that year.
took king out too early, pitched yuki too long, didn't bunt over with 2 on no outs, SUBED IN FERMIN, didn't pitch Morejon, left Miller out there too long.
Absolute pathetic from our rookie manager. Absolutely showing the inexperience
i have no confidence in miller. i know he had a high pitch count but don't walk the first two batters. Feel like teams are starting to figure him out...
Plenty of opportunities to win that game. And they lost because they didn’t come through several times. But a go ahead ninth inning home run was taken away by a roof. That’s heartbreaking.
