Last month our USDC vault went live on @backyard_fi. Time to tell you properly who they are and what they do.
Backyard is a yield manager on Solana. The app lists 32 stablecoin vaults from 7 platforms and lets you run several of them as a single strategy.
A strategy holds up to 20 vaults with your own weights, funded with one asset that Jupiter swaps into whatever each vault takes. Every position comes back as a receipt tied 1:1 to its vault. You rebalance by hand or automatically.
Most of the vaults come from Kamino and Jupiter, with curators like Gauntlet and Steakhouse on the Kamino side. Perena and Manifest Trade are in there too.
Solana has nearly 70 stablecoin pools holding over $1M each, spread across 15 protocols. That is a lot of tabs. Backyard turns the ones it lists into one screen, in a browser or in the Solana Mobile Seeker app.
Aggregation is half of their plan. The other half is bringing new sources of yield to Solana.
Season 0 adds XP and seven chef ranks on top, which carry into Season 1 and the upcoming YARD token.
Respect to @web3cpo and the Backyard team. 32 integrations and 7,500+ active users by the end of August took real work.
