Exploring crypto, stocks & onchain markets. I research, test and share what catches my attention. Learning and building in public. | @monad OG

I spend a lot of time exploring crypto, stocks and onchain markets. I enjoy finding new projects, testing ideas and understanding where new narratives might be forming. If something catches my attention, I dig into it. If I can test it, I usually do. If I find something worth sharing, I post it here. You’ll see crypto, onchain ecosystems, stocks, emerging technologies and occasionally the things I’m building myself. Some ideas will work, some won’t. I’m here to learn, experiment and document the journey in public. Welcome to Balerion. 🐉

Hmmmmm…..
Most of what a bank, fund or corporate treasury does has to stay confidential: client flows, payroll, supplier payments, trading positions. For institutions exploring public blockchains, that can create a trade-off between keeping sensitive activity confidential and accessing the liquidity and connectivity of an open market. Category Labs is developing Private Settlement on Monad, designed to give institutions confidential execution on a high-performance, EVM-compatible L1 without leaving its liquidity. → Transactions stay encrypted and confidential from intent to settlement → Each business configure its own domain(s): validators, trust model and access rules → Confidentiality stays accountable: auditors and regulators can be granted scoped access → Private activity is designed to stay connected to the Monad network's pooled liquidity If your team has payments, treasury or trading workflows, the Private Settlement design is worth a close look

Watching Monad OPEN from Singapore today and one thing is becoming very clear. @monad is no longer just building a fast EVM chain. Privacy. Onchain equities. 24/7 banking. Stablecoin payments. Open financial markets. And on stage you have people from Visa, Tether, StraitsX, Sygnum, Consensys, Dragonfly and others discussing what finance could look like on public infrastructure. That is the part I find bullish. The real competition between L1s will not be about TPS forever. It will be about where real markets, real capital and real users decide to live. Monad is clearly trying to build for that future. Still watching what comes next from MONAD_NEXT. gMONAD

Just a thought… What if Monad was never only about being a faster EVM? Most people still look at new L1s through the same lens: DeFi. DEXs. Memecoins. NFTs. Trading. But AI agents may create a completely different type of onchain demand. x402 is bringing the old HTTP 402 “Payment Required” idea back to life and turning it into something machines can actually use. An AI agent could discover a service, receive a payment request, pay for it automatically and continue its task without a human opening an account, buying API credits or approving every transaction. Think about what that could mean. Agents paying for APIs. Agents buying data. Agents paying for inference. Agents paying other agents. Autonomous software purchasing services from autonomous software. And these payments could be tiny. $0.01. $0.001. Maybe even less. One human might make a few blockchain transactions per day. An AI agent could potentially make hundreds or thousands. Now multiply that by millions of agents. This is where the Monad connection becomes interesting. Monad already has x402 infrastructure available and native USDC on the network. If the agent economy actually develops the way many people expect, blockchains may need to process a huge number of small, fast and automated payments. That sounds very different from today’s crypto user. And it also sounds like exactly the kind of workload high performance chains were designed for. So my speculation is simple: What if one of Monad’s biggest future use cases isn’t humans trading tokens… but machines paying machines? AI agents + x402 + stablecoins + high throughput blockchains could become a completely new onchain economy. Maybe we’re still looking at Monad through an old crypto lens. Maybe the real use case hasn’t even started yet. $MON

New week. New setup. Bitcoin is back above $86K. US job growth came in weaker than expected and the probability of another Fed hike in October has dropped sharply. That removes some pressure from risk assets. But I’m not chasing green candles. This week I’m watching: BTC holding above $85K Treasury yields The US dollar ETF flows Any change in Fed expectations If liquidity starts moving in the right direction, crypto could have a very interesting October. Patience first. Confirmation second. Positioning third. #Bitcoin #Crypto

US macro just sent a pretty clear message. September Nonfarm Payrolls: 29K Expected: ~90K Unemployment: 4.2% Previous: 4.1% Wage growth: 3.0% YoY And another 60K jobs were removed from July and August through revisions. The US labor market is cooling faster than expected. Markets reacted immediately, with the probability of the Fed holding rates in October jumping to around 86%. For risk assets this is supportive. Lower yields and less pressure for another rate hike are exactly what BTC and equities want to see. But this is not the final piece of the puzzle. October 14 CPI is next. If inflation also comes in soft, the case for a Fed pause becomes much stronger. For now: Weak jobs Cooling wages Higher unemployment Less pressure on the Fed Macro just turned a little more favorable for risk.

Crypto Twitter spends every day arguing about whether the bull market is over. Meanwhile: US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $2.65 BILLION in net inflows in September. The second strongest month since October 2025. Retail watches the candles. Institutions watch the opportunity. The important question is not what Bitcoin does today. It is who keeps buying while everyone else is distracted. I’m watching the flows.

Most people are still asking when crypto adoption will come. I think they are looking in the wrong place. @Visa and @LBGplc just tested $750,000 in real settlement using USDC. Funds arrived in under an hour. Even on the weekend. This is what adoption looks like. Not another meme. Not another promise. Not another whitepaper. Banks, payment networks and real money moving onchain. Stablecoins are slowly becoming financial infrastructure. And I think we are still early.

New quarter. Same game. Bitcoin is still trapped around the $82K to $85K range. And this is exactly where people usually make mistakes. Too much trading. Too much leverage. Too much noise. Sometimes the best position is simply patience. I’m watching liquidity, yields and whether BTC can finally turn $85K into support. Q4 has started. Now I want to see where the real money moves.

3 altcoins I’m watching right now and why: $LINK: RWA tokenization needs reliable data, proof of reserves and cross chain infrastructure. Chainlink is building directly in the middle of that. $ENA: Ethena is building around crypto native money. USDe already reached serious scale, and now I’m watching whether Ethena can become a much broader financial ecosystem. $NEAR: AI agents will need to transact, own assets and operate across chains. NEAR is positioning itself around exactly that future. RWA. Internet money. AI. Three different narratives, three projects on my radar. Watching doesn’t mean buying. It means understanding them before everyone starts talking about them.

Crypto is full of people trying to find the next 100x. Almost nobody talks about surviving long enough to actually catch one. You don’t need to win every trade. You don’t need to chase every narrative. You don’t need to buy every new token Twitter is screaming about. Protect your capital. Build conviction. Stay curious. Learn from your mistakes. The market will always give you another opportunity. But only if you still have capital when it arrives.
