The fan favorite of the Brandish series was released on the PC-98 in 1994, and that's where it has stayed since. It may be getting an English patch in the future, but as of now this game has always been one of the best kept Falcom secrets on the PC-98.

Maybe it hides them so that noobs won't expect them to necessarily work in home mode?
Would still be cool if it saves them and they still work even after hidden from the menu.
It should display the Soft Dips for AES mode too, since they work in some games. (For example, blood in AES mode in Metal Slug.) There's no harm in keeping it visible.

To access this menu:
Hold A+B+C+D+select when powering on.
Notice how your options change when you switch to MVS mode?
Cool stuff.

I really hope they find a way to integrate the 'home' version of Magician Lord. The version with the intro and you get set back to checkpoints. It's such a shame not to see the game story intro.

A PC game based on the "Record of Lodoss War" series was released by Humming Bird Soft in 1988. The game sold well, and fans loved it, but is there still any enjoyment to be had from this dry old RPG today?

Falcom just dropped a brand new "metroidvania" game in Japan last month. But is it actually any good? Give me 14 minutes of your time and I'll tell you everything you need to know, plus my honest opinion on whether it's worth your time. -Mr. Jakes

The very first Fist of the North Star game was actually a graphic adventure by Enix on the NEC PC-88! It was titled "Violence Gekiga Adventure", so you know it has gore! But is the game itself actually any good? ...or is it 'already dead'?
