My simplest take on what's going on with Xbox is that due to Game Pass and COVID they grew way too fast and got way too little return on that investment. Now they're shrinking down to a more viable sized platform as they head towards a new console generation under new leadership.

I hate layoffs as a person, I hate the things they're doing to lessen the value of their offerings as a consumer but what they're doing makes sense from a high level. Should that matter to me? I'll talk more about that in this week's @thebaunfire Gaming Podcast.
