This is a reckless and divisive stunt . It sends a message that some in local politics are more interested in grandstanding than actually dealing with what they were elected to do .
▪️For logistical reasons, the Palestinian flag is unlikely to fly over Belfast City Hall tonight. ⏰
▪️But the flag-flying (proposed by Sinn Féin) was supported - by 32 votes to 28 - at council this evening.
▪️The flag-flying is due to happen “on the next available day”.
