andrea stella said mclaren will have a few more upgrades coming, but all efforts are already focused on 2027. he also gave an update on the state of lando's newly upgraded car following the incident: "unfortunately, i think a couple of parts will have been lost with the crash, which is another downside of having been involved in these sorts of situations, but luckily there's some more new parts coming, so we should be okay for the coming races" [@JunaidSamodien_]

Kerusakan mobil Lando Norris akibat insiden di Baku kemarin, datang di saat yang kurang tepat karena McLaren sedang kekurangan suku cadang. Karena tim keluarkan upgrade baru ke mobil MCL40, McLaren hanya membawa sedikit spare-part karena kendala logistik lokasi balapan yang sudah tidak berada di Eropa. Dengan kerusakan mobil Norris di Baku, otomatis spare-part dengan spek baru akan dipakai di Sepang pekan depan dan McLaren sudah kehabisan komponen. Apabila rusak lagi, pilihan satu-satunya adalah harus kembali ke spek sebelumnya. Kondisi diperparah dengan triple-header yang mana balapan di Malaysia merupakan race tambahan dan mengganggu rencana logistik tim. Salah satu yang terdampak adalah McLaren karena tidak bisa mengirim suplai suku cadang spek terbarunya karena logistik yang mepet.

lando in 2023 speaking about hate comments: “people actually choosing to spend their life, their one life on earth, doing such things makes absolutely no sense to me [...] i’ve just learned to laugh and make fun of the bad things because i just feel sorry for the person who's actually had to come up with that stuff in the first place, that that's brought amusement to them”

I do not understand why Lando is being piled on. Yeah he called for a race ban in the heat of the moment when he was still annoyed and emotional, but he didn’t exactly march to the steward and demand it? Drivers say all sort of stuff after crashes, Lando probably won’t even agree with himself tomorrow but people are writing think pieces … get a grip man

whatever anyone thinks about lando saying that drivers who cause incidents like this should face a race ban, there is no justification whatsoever for the amount of hate being directed at him right now. he was taken out of the race through an incident that he had nothing to do with. and given the circumstances, of course he was frustrated. mclaren have been stressing how important it was to have a smooth weekend with the new big upgrade package and lando said himself that parts of the car were "in the bin." we don't know what that means for their spare parts situation going into the rest of the triple header, but losing a newly upgraded car through an incident like this is obviously going to be frustrating. lando's comment about race bans is harsh but it also didn't come out of nowhere. for one, it came straight after the race, when adrenaline is still high, and for two, this isn't just about what happened with franco today. it comes after many occasions where he's been caught up in dnfs caused by other drivers, so it was clearly coming from a wider frustration rather than just this one incident, especially given the state of his newly upgraded car today. but regardless of how people feel about his comment, what's happening in his comments and it goes as far as his fanpages, is completely unacceptable. going from 2k comments before the race to over 13k within 3 hours and counting, with so many of them being vile and abusive is targeted harassment and there's no justification for it.

the switch up on lando from some ppl today over one comment made immediately after the race when everyone knows emotions are high is crazy…and the fact it wasn’t even some absurd statement like flooding his comments with hate and harassment is a little ridiculous honestly
