I can appreciate art such as Sally Rooney’s ‘Normal People’ as a piece questioning the institutional norm of monogamy. But that does not preclude me from maintaining that monogamy is the ideal form of romantic relationships and other forms are alternative lifestyles.
I do not stand for equality of outcome. People make different choices. I do stand for the equality of opportunity. But even in this system, people must look after the weakest in society with an adequate social security net.

True centrist thinking seems to be more of a minority with the so-called 'median-voter-curve' flattening. This means many voters are moving to more extreme political positions away from the centre. This process is called bifurcation.
