i think ryland grace is one of the purest examples of a "do it scared" character and i think that's why he'll always be one of my all time favourites. he didn't become brave or have a redemption arc, he's ALWAYS a coward and keeps doing it anyway. i just think that's special

i know they talk about bravery in phm a lot but i think there's a big difference between suddenly being a courageous person and doing an act despite the fact you are terrified. we know grace was terrified for the whole movie but did it anyway

i'm unemployed. when i'm into writing a fic i can write 5000 words a day sometimes, typing at up to 90wpm. BUT the editing of that 5000 words takes hours. i'm talking, in total, probably 8 hours for a fully written and edited 5000 words. not including eating/breaks+

and then there's going back and adding things/moving stuff around/rewording sentences. i type FAST. 10k is doable, but the editing alone would ALSO take a day. i struggle to believe writing coherent, story-aligned 10k words a day is possible
