Visiting @CumberlandHghts with my son Harrison and niece Mary Lauren last week, I thought how proud Dad would be. Sixty years ago, he helped establish a place where people living with addiction could find compassionate care. My mother helped inspire him to say yes, then named it for the rolling hills above the river. The stories we heard brought that legacy to life: people finding recovery and purpose, and a team dedicated to helping others do the same. Dad believed in caring for the whole person. He understood that excellent treatment and a setting offering beauty, dignity, and peace belonged together. At Cumberland Heights, there is space to pause, reflect, and begin to heal.
