Biden's rhetorical style was all ethos. He never explained, logically, why the US should support Ukraine or Israel. He didn't explain his economic policy logically either. It was all appeals to ethos, "we do this because we're Americans".
People said "Biden failed at communicating his ideas to the public." Well now we have a guy whose every statement has to be deciphered with a 200 part flow diagram

Mexico is not a nation-state. It is a civilization-state just like China or Iran and its existence and dignity must not be bestowed upon it from liberal rationalism and Western values but instead must insist upon itself as a cradle of civilization in a multipolar world.

Democrats have not “moved so far to the right.” It’s just an objectively false statement. Harris was far more liberal than Clinton or even Obama, and most voters were clear about this.
The left wants to be right so badly that they will seem fine downplaying MAGA’s corruption.
