Centralizatio Delenda Est.  Power has always accumulated around the systems we depend on, which is why open protocols matter far beyond the technology itself. The printing press weakened control over knowledge, Bitcoin is weakening control over money, and Nostr points towards a future where communication does not have to depend on a central gatekeeper deciding who gets access, who gets heard or who can be removed. Resilient systems distribute power rather than concentrating it, and that may prove to be one of the defining shifts of the 21st century as open protocols begin to replace institutions we once assumed were necessary.
