What an intense last weeks have been... wheww! Excited to get back to hosting our regular events and meeting new people who see the world a little differently than most people. Bitcoin101, Money101, Privacy101... all in the same weekend, only at Bitspace!

"Macha the chairs aren't there in the cabins yet." “It's fine, let me just come work from there for a bit.“ "It's 9pm macha!" “Exactly, it'll be soooo quiet. I'm coming now.“

Opening the new Bitspace on 5th September, and would love to personally invite the people running other spaces and communities in Bangalore. It's weird building our second space and barely knowing anyone running the other ones in the city. If you know any of them (mentioned in the comments), an intro would mean a lot. Thanks!

Bitspace Build Log #7: Furniture's here finally! Came to test projector's mounting angle, acoustic paneling's done in every room that needed it. Finishing touches start soon. Only 3 days to go. Come see what's actually happening in Bitcoin in India and the space hosting it all.

Bitspace Build Log #6: Not fully happy with the lighting yet. Merch wall is too bright compared to the lounge, which also doesn't feel as cozy as it should. That aside, acoustic panels are in for cabins except for the meeting room, and furniture is on the way. 3 days to go :)

Bitspace Build Log #5: ACs and cabin doors installed, cupboards & pantry counters being set, and more furniture coming. Our regulars are like "When can we come backkkk?" Apparently, they've been unproductive without Bitspace 🥹. 4 more days guys, atleast let the chairs come.

Bitspace Build Log #4: Glass is in for cabins now, carpet's laid, and cassette ACs are going in. With the Rockwool already inside the walls, these cabins are feeling so much more quiet now. Can't wait to see one of us entering elite level flow state in here! Just 5 more days.

The fact that we can put in this much of care for all the Open Source devs working from Bitspace to make their lives a little easier makes my heart warm. Unlike in corporate, FOSS devs are on their own in the wild. Having a shared safe space goes a long way in mental ressilience, connection and collaborations. We are greayful at @bitshala_org to be able to serve for the contributors of Public Commons doing thankless jobs everyday.

Regulars at Bitspace have gotten a lot more serious about their health, gym & diet lately. I believe if you're building a space for a certain group of people, it should help them become who they're trying to be, not just offer basic amenities so they can sit still for nine hrs.

Bitspace Build Log #3: many regulars at the old space told us their back was killing them from sitting all day. So height-adjustable tables are going into the new co-working area. Ceiling lights are done, ACs installed, sleeping pod construction starts soon. Only 5 days to go.

Bitspace Build Log #2: Wooden floor is in, second coat of paint done, switchboards going into the cabins, acoustic paneling coming up to reduce the echo inside, lighting's next. This is the first time I walked in and it actually felt like a space, not a site. Only 6 days to go.

Walking through today realizing how many tiny choices go into a space before anyone ever sits in it. Chose Rockwool over Fiberglass thinking about the person who's going to sit to work, headphones off, actually able to hear themselves think. No more involuntary eavesdropping.

Bitspace Build Log #1: POP walls are in, the open floor is now split into individual workspaces and sections. Not much to see yet, but the foundational shape is starting to show. 7 days to inauguration 🌟

For the last few years, Bitshala is actively trying to build that path in south-east Asia. What began with Bitcoin education grew into study cohorts, technical discussions, contributors, projects, mentors, and a community willing to spend time understanding Bitcoin from first principles. These images capture different parts of that journey: people learning together, explaining ideas, presenting their work, and taking their first steps into open-source contribution. The goal was never simply to teach people about Bitcoin, it was to help create people capable of building it.

New Bitspace, new hot mess in HSR Layout.

We started @HODLdesign as an experiment at Bitspace back in 2025, extremely excited for a whole new chapter. Huge thanks to @HRF for being a supporter of Bitcoin Design initiatives in the space. Onwards.
