I’ve been thinking a lot about where the industry is heading, and I wanted to build something that is meaningful, Steedcrest is my way to do that.
It’s my own independent 2D outsourcing studio, focusing on concept art and illustration.
But more than that, it’s built on a stubborn belief that AI has no place in creative spaces, we operate on human passion, skill, and treating artists as well as clients with respect.

Steedcrest is a specialized 2D visual development studio for video game and publishing companies, that I founded, with a roster of AAA artists.
As the industry is leaning hard into generative tools right now, we believe prompts cannot ever capture the soul of a game, and it won't fix your production bottlenecks either. So, as a response to that, we built a remote, global studio around actual working artists.

Ai has contributed to RAM prices increasing by 300%, women and children getting ai generated sexual images made of them, data centers polluting the air close to neighborhoods, assisting people in suicides, using a lot of energy causing people’s electricity bills to go higher, ai models training on copyrighted data, books being scanned and destroyed by big companies, using ai to scam people with deepfakes and ai generated voices, mass layoffs from people being replaced by ai.
I can keep going but these are all the things Ai has contributed to.
There is no proof or evidence of that, you son of a bitch; and by the way, AI has already contributed more to society than the entire anti-AI cult.

I’m starting to think that prolonged, heavy use of generative AI can create a weird kind of delusion where people genuinely start believing the AI-generated work reflects their own skill, talent, and creativity.

I’ll tell you: when you rely on a machine to think so you can pretend you’re smart, of course you’re insecure about it. Because you can’t actually do anything yourself. And now everyone will know.
We’ve written an FAQ to answer some of the questions we've received about watermarking.
In summary:
• We’re implementing watermarking to comply with the EU AI Act. Other major model developers have signed the same Code of Practice and will also be implementing watermarking;
• Our watermarking method doesn’t have any practical impact on the quality or content of Claude’s outputs;
• The difference between watermarked and un-watermarked text will not be distinguishable to readers;
• Nothing is added to the text and there are no hidden characters;
• Watermarking doesn’t require extra tokens, and will not be more expensive;
• Watermarks can’t be traced to a specific person, organization, or chat.
