RTD only generated $61M in revenue a year and loses $1.3B!!! And they want to put in another $20B CoCo Train! This is insanity!!!! You could buy Uber for this much money!! #copolitics #colorado
RTD posted a $1.3 billion operating loss in 2025 (expenses far exceeded fare revenue of ~$61M). After sales taxes (~$869M) and grants, net position still fell $244M. It faces a structural budget deficit of $215-250M annually.

I just watched Space X's solid rocket booster land itself upright, in the exact center of a concrete pad, in a very stiff crosswind, and I want all the people who cheer for socialism and communism to realize that the state has never, ever accomplished such a feat, and never could. This level of innovation is the hallmark of a capitalist system driven by meritocracy and rewards for individual excellence. We live in the greatest country in the world and we're not going to let you drag us back into the stone age.

There is a cohort of people who love play "Chicken Little". They are typically associated with the left, and their goal is the acquisition of power. They screamed "No Nukes" when nuclear power was the safest form of power generation ever created. They managed to delay the use of Nuclear power for decades. Now, of course, we really need it. They screamed "Climate, Climate, Climate" and manage to increase the price of fossil fuels. They seemed oblivious to the fact that those Nukes they blocked would have prevented a lot of CO2 from being dumped into the air. Now they are screaming "AI will kill us all". And they are having the same effect. They will impede the progress on the one thing that could help us solve all those other problems. Why? Because they want the power that breeding fear in others gives them. Should we be cautious with Nukes? Sure. Should we be cautious with the climate? Sure. Should we be cautious with AI? Sure. But we should not let fear dominate us -- that fear will be our undoing.

Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, on how “good policy” could boost U.S. economic growth 🇺🇸 “I have a great suggestion for the politicians in the room. Good policy is free. Take six months in Congress. Do not raise revenues or cut expenses. Don’t do any of that. Don’t get involved in that debate. Just change policy that makes things better. Better housing policy, permitting policy, local affordable housing policy, education policy. I think you’ll grow 1% higher just by doing that. We don’t do it anymore. We simply layer bureaucratic stupid shit on top of the bureaucratic stuff, and it doesn’t work. And it’s demoralizing. If you actually analyze these policies, they hurt the lower-income people the most. So they’re all done in the name of good, but they hurt the lower-income people the most. I think we have to get our act together.”

Coloradans are facing higher costs due to Trump’s reckless trade policies and the war with Iran. With gas and grocery prices still climbing, Coloradans are having to choose between filling the tank and filling the fridge. Despite this, Colorado’s economy is stable. We will keep fighting to lower costs for Colorado families. Resource: bls.gov/regions/mountain-pla…

Millionaire. Three homes. You spent over $500,000 of donor money on private jets to lecture America about oligarchs. Sit this one out, Bernie.
One man (Mr. Musk) owns more wealth than the bottom half of American households. Meanwhile, 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, nearly 800,000 are homeless and 85 million are uninsured. We can do better. We must do better.

Colorado voted Republican for president almost every cycle from 1968 through 2004. It flipped in 2008 and has stayed blue ever since. In 1980 the state was 2.9 million people and about 4% foreign-born. Now it’s nearly 6 million and about 10% foreign-born. On the 2025 state tests, only 45% of 3rd–8th graders were proficient in reading and 36% in math. Violent crime also jumped about 50–60% from 2014 to 2024. Friday those same schools emptied classrooms so kids could protest ICE. A system that cannot get most students to grade level still has time for a political rally. Our education system is broken.

Colorado's universal mail ballot system began with HB 13-1303 (Voter Access and Modernized Elections Act) in 2013. It was a legislative bill, not approved by public vote. Nearly all Republicans in the General Assembly opposed it. Then-Gov. John Hickenlooper signed it. He later became U.S. Senator and has opposed federal voter ID measures. Polls consistently show 80%+ of Americans support requiring photo ID to vote.

Two tax questions will be on our Colorado ballot. Here is how I am voting. I am voting NO on Initiative 195. Colorado has one income tax rate of 4.4 percent. Initiative 195 would replace it with six different rates. The highest rate would be 8.4 percent. Supporters say 97 percent of Coloradans would get a tax cut. That is true, but most people would save only a few dollars to a few hundred dollars each year. In return, the state would collect about $2 billion more every year. This tax would also hit businesses, estates, trusts, and some small business owners. The tax brackets do not change with inflation. That means more people could be pushed into the higher rates over time. I am voting YES on Initiative 232. Initiative 232 would keep Colorado’s income tax rate from going above 4.4 percent. It keeps our taxes simple and stops the state from raising the rate without changing the law again. I will not trade away a permanent taxpayer protection to save a couple hundred dollars today. Colorado does not have a money problem. Colorado has a spending problem. NO on 195. YES on 232. Sean M. Pond #VoteNoOn195 #VoteYesOn232 #Colorado #TABOR #SeanPond #UNDERestimated

First President to go on over 17 lavish vacations, in addition to date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends paid for by the taxpayers. 31. First President to have personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife. 32. First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense. 33. First President to fly in a personal trainer from Chicago at least once a week at taxpayer expense. 34. Then he was the First President to tell the members of the military that THEY were UNPATRIOTIC for balking at the last suggestion. I feel much better now. I had been under the impression he hadn't been doing ANYTHING... Such an accomplished individual... in the eyes of the ignorant maybe.!. @ nonyayo2 on Tumblr

The Democrats said FEMA had NO money for Americans in Maui. The Democrats said FEMA had NO money for Americans in East Palestine, Ohio. The Democrats said FEMA had NO money for Americans in Western North Carolina. The Democrats said FEMA had NO money for Americans in Pacific Palisades, California. BUT FEMA had an extra $1 BILLION to spend on illegal aliens, including $22.6 BILLION for cars, home loans, cash, housing, healthcare, voter registration, even money to start up businesses—all funneled through NGOs in an attempt to overthrow the Constitutional Republic of the United States. In other words: you’ve been deceived, robbed, extorted, blackmailed, and betrayed.

My city... again. Colorado continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. Just down the road from me, a judge released a man facing 72 felony charges for sexual abuse of children. He was facing 100+ of years in prison (in Wyoming) —and Larimer County just released him on his own recognizance. Wyoming authorities have publicly expressed frustration. Wyoming media covered the story. Colorado? Crickets. No warning to citizens. For SO many reasons: Fort Collins, Colorado is no longer a safe place to raise your children.
